Realtor.com added RealAssist AI to Realtor.com+ for client search and follow-up. A brokerage survey, a newspaper piece on agent habits, and one of our own posts fill in the rest. Each section separates what the source reports from my recommendation.
Realtor.com adds RealAssist AI to client search and follow-up
Reported: Realtor.com launched RealAssist AI inside Realtor.com+. According to the release, it helps agents capture client and co-buyer preferences, generate more tailored home searches, summarize client activity, and draft client messages in the agent's tone. Agents review and approve suggested actions.
Recommendation: The co-buyer detail is the one to test. If you work with couples or groups, check whether it keeps each person's preferences separate and builds searches from both. Read every drafted message before it goes out, especially any that mention what a client viewed. The approval step exists for that reason.
Limit: The source is a company press release. Nothing in it covers pricing, rollout timing, or how well the tone matching works. Treat it as something to trial, not something to rebuild your follow-up around.
Brokerages plan to use AI for CRM workflow automation
Reported: A Florida Realtors report on a Delta Media Group survey found that brokerages are expanding AI beyond listing-description writing. More than half plan to adopt or expand AI for customer relationship management and workflow automation.
Recommendation: Read this as a signal about where brokerage tech budgets are headed, not proof that the tools work. If your brokerage rolls out CRM workflow automation, ask which messages go out under your name, what triggers them, and who can edit them. If yours does not, check what your own CRM can already do for follow-up sequences.
Limit: The report does not say how results differ by brokerage size or what adoption looks like in daily use.
AgentMoves describes a lead magnet funnel built inside the CRM
Disclosure: This one is our own product.
Reported: AgentMoves describes an AI workflow inside its CRM that can create landing pages, websites, guides, and interactive lead magnets from a prompt. Submissions route into the CRM and prefill lead details such as a move timeline. Related tools write emails, build automations, and respond through phone, text, social platforms, and website chat.
Recommendation: The prefilled move timeline is what turns a page builder into a follow-up tool. A lead who plans to move in six months should not get the same sequence as one moving in sixty days. Whatever platform you use, capture that one field on every lead form and route on it. Solo agents can see how this fits a one-person operation on the solo agents page.
Limit: The linked post describes capabilities. It does not report conversion numbers, and I am not adding any.
Agents already use AI for conversation summaries and brochures
Reported: The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that agents are using AI to summarize permitted client conversations, draft emails, create brochures, and handle other marketing tasks. The story covers how practitioners work. It does not announce a product.
Recommendation: Copy the word permitted. Check your state's recording rules and your brokerage policy, get the client's consent, then use the summary to write the follow-up email the same day. This needs no new purchase.
What to test from this week's news
These stories do not add up to one trend, and I would not force them into one. Treat them as separate tests.
- Try RealAssist AI if you work in Realtor.com+ and handle many buyers with co-buyers.
- Add a move timeline field to every lead form you control.
If you want help deciding which of these fits your lead flow, book a strategy call.
FAQs
Does RealAssist AI send messages to clients on its own?
The release says agents review and approve suggested actions, and that the tool drafts messages in the agent's tone. Confirm the exact settings when you try it.
What does CRM workflow automation mean for an individual agent?
It means your system triggers follow-up from lead behavior or form answers, such as a different email sequence by move timeline. The Delta Media Group survey says more than half of brokerages plan to adopt or expand it. Check what your current CRM supports before buying anything.
Should I use AI to summarize client calls?
Only with permission. The Inquirer describes agents summarizing permitted conversations. Get consent first, then use the summary to draft your follow-up.
